At Vagabond, we share seven key values that form the roots of who we are. We encourage each other and in doing so, we create and maintain a culture of trust, therefore providing the freedom and space to develop personal responsibility and mutual respect. Each individual’s contribution counts.

Integrity

Be true to ourselves and our brand
Integrity is the basis for everything we do and the prerequisite for our success. Without integrity, there is no constructive teamwork. That is why we trust ourselves, we place this trust in others as role models and have an authentic hands-on approach. We keep our promises.

How do we do this? Through confidence in ourselves and others, openness, reliability, empathy and respect.

Freedom

We grow with freedom and its responsibility
We grant our team the greatest possible freedom from the outset. At every level, we encourage everyone’s willingness to organise and take responsibility for their work.

How do we do this? We promote enthusiasm, allow our team to self-organise and assume responsibility and accountability, provide an environment that encourages an innovative spirit and we plan for future generations to expand our company. We remain open-minded and we create opportunities for growth and development.

Community

We come from a multitude of backgrounds and experiences, with distinct needs and goals. We recognise that to create an inclusive and vibrant community, we must understand and value both our individual differences and our common ground.

How do we do this? We respect the rights and differences of each other, maintain honesty and integrity in dealing with all members of our community and are accountable for our own behaviour.

Achieving the destination
We strive for excellence in everything we do: in our products, in their safety and value, and in our services, human relations, competitiveness and our profitability. Continuous improvement is essential to our success.

How do we do this? By making flow visual, having our team involved and by delivering.

Vagabond carries out an internal and external ongoing dialogue to increase trust and mutual understanding. Together this increases the opportunities for improvement. Communication clarity is our alpha and omega.

How do we do this? We listen carefully to each other and to our customers to bring about a constructive dialogue. We continuously develop our ability to communicate both internally and externally to establish a clear framework.

How do we do this? Through achievement and enjoyment of everything that we do – yin and yang.
