For those new to surf kayaking, it can be really intimidating to punch through waves. The bow of the Dumbi is designed to do just this, while the volume of the stern aids stability.
With the Dumbi, even small waves are fun for both novice and experienced paddlers.
Smaller waves offer the opportunity to practice and refine skills with little risk.
You can go from small waves to bigger waves as your skills improve.
The Dumbi is designed so that even novice paddlers will be able to surf small waves. More experienced paddlers can do more on bigger waves.

The Dumbi's wave-piercing bow is pointy and buoyant and is shaped to shed water very quickly. This makes the boat great for punching through waves when paddling for the back line.
The seating position is both super comfortable and, aided by thigh straps, secures you in place when punching through waves.
Big drainage holes through the sidewalls of the Dumbi drain water from the deck in no time, and has no negative affect on the performance of the kayak.
The hull of the Dumbi has a big planing surface for quick lift-off and fins can be added by those paddlers wanting more aggressive carving.
