Launched in July 2018, Vagabond Kayaks was born from a passion for paddling and more than 140 years of combined paddling experience between Vagabond’s five partners.
Sit-on-top kayaks are at the heart of our brand. Our plastic, recreational kayaks have high-performance features that offer an exceptional paddling experience. Our plastic, sit-on-top kayaks are beginner-friendly and also loved by experienced paddlers. We know that you will get on a Vagabond kayak for the first time, have a great experience, and love paddling so much that you want to make it a regular activity.
Our range also includes a surfkayak, a whitewater sit-on-top and two whitewater creek kayaks.
Our company started in the small Free State town of Parys. We moved to the city of George in the Western Cape in November 2020. The Garden Route, with its dams, rivers, lakes, lagoons, estuaries and the sea, is our home.
