8″ Day Hatch

This 8″ Day Hatch is a gem! We created a moulded-in hatch compartment that is sealed by our custom designed Vagabond 8″ Screw Hatch cover.

This easy-access ‘bucket’ is the place to put items you may want to access frequently or those you may want quick access to while you’re out on the water – without the hassle of having to dig out a drybag from the depths of your kayak.

Items stashed in this hatch could include your mobile phone, sunblock, medications (asthma pump, diabetic insulin, allergy tablets) and snacks. We still recommend that you put items in a dry bag, even when using this day hatch.

This 8″ Day Hatch is on the Kasai, positioned behind the paddler and on the Marimba, positioned under the paddler’s knees. It is also the front and only hatch on the Mokolo.
